We layered (KASANE) this ancient romantic verse with a modern urban aesthetic. A solitary stray cat—representing the resilient "LIFE" in the city's blind spots—sits in a nameless urban dwelling, gazing out. Like Princess Nukata, this feline is a silent witness to the city's quiet moments, waiting for something, much like the poet waited centuries ago. It is a wearable piece of art that blends Japanese classical literature with a nostalgic, contemporary illustration style, rendered in a striking monochrome palette that echoes the spirit of traditional Japanese ink wash painting.
